Hi,
So when I want to enter a post in my blog, the menu-bar turns black. All other tabs in the menu works and looks fine, it’s only under “Blog” that it disappears. I have tried to remove the page and created a new “Blog” page and added to the manu, but nothing changes. I also get these sidebar “Pages” and “Categories” that I don’t want, even when I have selected “no sidebars”.Please let me know what I can to to fix the Blog tab. I also have a post under “posts” in my dashboard, how do I get it to appear under “Blog” in the menu? I have already made the settings to Post Page — > Blog.
Also, what is the easies way to add posts to the page and have it look good? Before the menu went black, the actual appearance of the blog posts on the page did not look good. I’ve tried different “Blog Layouts” but not much happens… Is Enfold not a good theme to use for blogging? I just want a “regular” appearance that does not look like crap…
Thank you in advance.

EmmaDecember 9, 2019 at 12:49 am #1163930Hey Emmasfm,
Thanks for the link to your site, so when I look at your “blog” link in your menu I see a page with no content, so I can’t see any of your “posts” or your settings, to see where your issues are coming from. Enfold is a good blogging form, but we may need to change a few settings.
The sidebar “Pages” and “Categories” that you don’t want are probably just from the default demo, we can help adjust this for you.
Please include an admin login in the Private Content area so we can be of more assistance.Best regards,
MikeDecember 9, 2019 at 10:12 pm #1164210Hi Mike!
Yes, I didn’t add a post since it looked so strange.
Sounds good! Please see my admin login below.I have a post saved under “posts” that you can use, as I want to post this – but don’t know how.
Please let me know if you need anything more from and please explain the basics on how to get the posts under “Blog”.
…Additional to my initial questions of course :)Thank you so much.

EmmaDecember 10, 2019 at 5:39 am #1164317Hi Emma,
Thanks for that. I see that you haven’t added any content to the page in question. If you want to design your own blog page then please add the Blog Posts element to the page in question. If you want the default layout which you can control in the theme options, then please set the page in question as you blog page in the main page of the theme options.
The sidebars you are seeing are the default ones in the theme, they will disappear once you add your own content under Appearance->Widgets.

RikardDecember 10, 2019 at 5:01 pm #1164507Hi Rikard,
I tried to publish my post, and I can see the preview, but the post does not appear under “Blog”, is there something wrong with the link? Please see link to the post below, and then click “Blog” in my menu and you’ll see that it’s not there. In the link below you can also see that the menu bar is black – how do I fix that? It is only in the Blog tab that it looks like that, if you check “Home” or “About” you’ll see how I want the menu to look.
Please also see the sidebar under “pages” to the right of the post. I don’t want any content there – can’t I just remove them somehow? The pages showing under there are my “back-office” pages so I definitely don’t want them public.
Thank you in advance.

EmmaDecember 11, 2019 at 8:48 am #1164743Hi Emma,
You still haven’t done one of the things you need to that I wrote in my last reply; either set the blog page on the main page of the theme options, or add the Blog Post element to your Blog page.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 11, 2019 at 1:42 pm #1164813Hi Rikard,
Sorry! I thought that I had to add the element to the post, but now I’ve added it to the blog page.
So now the post appears, but if you go into the post, the menu is still black.
Please see link below.Thank you!

EmmaDecember 12, 2019 at 8:08 am #1165109Hi Emma,
I’m not sure what you are expecting to see on that post since the post itself only contains a blog post element? You are creating a loop more or less.
I think you are still not understanding how to create a blog page, right? Please try doing this:– Create a new page called Blog
– Add the Blog Posts element to the Blog page
– Edit the Blog Page element so that all your posts will be included (select all categories)
– Create a new postAfter that you will have a blog page.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 12, 2019 at 9:04 pm #1165331Hi Rikard,
No, appearently not.
Now I’ve removed the post and restarted.– Create a new page called Blog -> Done
– Add the Blog Post element to the Blog page -> Done
– Edit the Blog Page element so that all your posts will be included –> I have not selected any categories (because I don’t want any) so I assume that every new post will be included.
– Create a new post –> DoneStill, the link to the post is wrong (see below).
Also, which element do I use to simply add content/text? Obvious for me is to just add the text block, which I did, but that does not show in the post. Please also answer how to remove the sidebars. I don’t have any content under widgets and I don’t want the “pages” sidebar to show.
Do you have phone hours? I think it would be easier to just show and explain my view, instead of going back and forth in this thread.
Thank you in advance.

EmmaDecember 14, 2019 at 5:27 am #1165761Hi,
1. If you want to change the permalink structure of your blog then please do so under Settings->Permalinks.
2. The text of your text block element in the blog post is not showing since the text is white. Change the colour of it and you will see it.
3. You can select to not show a sidebar under Layout in edit page sidebar, look for the Sidebar Setting option.
4. We don’t provide phone support unfortunately.

RikardDecember 15, 2019 at 10:24 pm #1166147HI Rikard,
Thank you, got it all fixed now.
Is it possible to change the sidebar to show “Latest posts” instead of “Pages”? Where and how do I change it if possible?Thank you in advance.

You can modify the sidebar from Appearance -> Widgets.
