I am currently using the Salient theme for my girlfriend’s website, and am having problems with their “HTML view”, and therefore looking for a new theme–perhaps Enfold. I’m a computer programmer so I am helping her with her site, and sometimes I like to drop from the Visual Composer into HTML view, do some customization, and return to the Visual Composer, where she can do other changes whenever she wishes. But when returning to the Visual Composer, all my customization disappears. I don’t know if this is an inherent problem with WordPress in general or a Salient problem. So I was wondering if Enfold has an HTML view to start with, and if switching back to the Visual Composer loses any HTML customization or not. Thank you, Gary
Hey Gary,
If you are going to change layout builders then you will have recreate your whole site, I’m not sure if that is something you would like to do? Enfold has its own layout builder and the theme is not compatible with Visual Composer, although it might work anyway. I would recommend that you reach out to the developers of your current theme if you need help with their product.
