I know you get a lot of questions about image size for Layer Slider in Enfold, but I don’t see a solution in your support threads that has helped me. My photos are blurry.

A couple of your support threads say a good width for images is 1700 pixels, that this size should be able to handle most screen sizes. But I don’t see anything about image height, or anything that indicates how the uploaded image size should correlate to the slider dimensions in slider settings. Should they be the same? How do I know what size will not be enlarged automatically by the slider and become pixelated as a result?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hey Arrastia,

Could you post a link to where we can see the problem in question? Also please include admin login details in private in case we should need to have a look at the backend.

    Best regards,

Hi Rikard. Thanks for your reply.
I appreciate your taking a look. This site is for a large-format printer, so the slider images must be clear and crisp when presented.

I have uploaded images that are 648 pixels wide (with height ranging from 270 to 318., which I think its too small. So I need to know what dimensions the images need to be so they will be clear, and I want to make sure I have the slider settings correct to facilitate that. It seems like image size and slider size setting should be the same, but perhaps not…

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. If the images you have used are only 648 pixels wide then that is likely the problem, they are just not big enough. Please try to use images which are at least 1500 pixels wide.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Thanks Rikard.

One more question please: in the slider settings, what is your recommendation for the size option? Should it match the image dimensions? For example, if my images are 1500×450, should the settings also be 1500×450? Or something else? if something else, what is the best way to determine those settings?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. The general slider size should likely only be 100% of the width, if you set a fixed width then it might not be responsive. I can’t say for sure but that is how it should work in theory at least. If it doesn’t work like that in reality then you will have to experiment with what works and what doesn’t on your actual slider.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
