Is there any way to access the value of the contact us form fields in php for further processing?

Do you mean you want to save it somehow?
Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you or you can use some plugin that has the functionality that you need :)

VictoriaDecember 6, 2019 at 10:07 pm #1163467Hi Victoria, Thanks for your answer. I assumed so much. Therefore I tried a simple solution, to create my own form using your Code Block element, the theme will render the form and I would capture the fields in my php upon submit.
Your Code Block element has a BUG and cannot be used with a form. I created the form, plugged the html in the Code Block and saved the page, the theme rendered the form correctly the first time and I was able to capture the value of the fields in php.
Unluckily, when I tried to edit the Code Block in your Visual Editor the code was not showing properly and the second time the whole idea did not work. I would need to delete the Code Block and enter the code again every time that I needed to edit the page. Can you please, fix the Code Block?
Now I am going to do a Modal with my own form to do something that I wanted to do in the main page and that I cannot do using the Avia editor. In my book you need to solve this problem.
May be it would be a good idea for future versions of the theme to give access to the form fields in your contact form. Also, it would be nice to be able to access the contact fields using javascript.
Thanks for your answer. I like your theme very much.
P.S. I wanted to access the fields in the form to feed the email, first and last name to the MailChimp. (I did not want to ask the user to enter again the name and email to send it to Mail Chimp)

Well, you can make the shortcode out of the form and add just the shortcode to the code block or text block not the actual html.

I still believe that you should fix your Code Block Element so that form html works directly without using short codes.December 7, 2019 at 10:34 pm #1163691Hi,
I’m glad this was resolved. If you need additional help, please let us know here in the forums.
