    Hello –

    First off, I LOVE the Enfold theme and recommend it to anyone building a site on WordPress.

    I recently updated WP to 5.3, and found that I am unable to add new photos to existing galleries, masonry, etc. I just get this blank screen: (http://stage.ridebdr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/enfold-blank-scaled.png)

    When i tried to update my Enfold Theme, hoping this will solve the issue:
    1) The update on WP Enfold says I have the latest update :: “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.2.1)” which i know is not correct.
    2) When i try to update the theme via FTP, I get a fatal error and have to restore from backup.

    Error Below:

    Current theme: Enfold (version 4.6.3.1)

    PHP version 7.2.24-0ubuntu0.18.04.1
    Error Details
    =============
    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 12 of the file /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php. Error message: Cannot redeclare av_countdown_events_fallback() (previously declared in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php:16)

    Any help would be VERY much appreciated!!

    Hey flordelizamejia,

    Please delete this file
    /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php

    It was moved to the new location and was not deleted by the update process.

    Thank you Victoria –
    I was able to update the theme, but unfortunately, this didn’t solve my problem. I am still missing the option to add images to existing galleries.

    I have included the login credentials in the private content below.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi flordelizamejia,

    Well, this was the first step, to get rid of the php error. Can you check the log if there are more errors?

    To update the theme now, it is better to rename the old theme folder and make a new one, when everything works ok, you can delete the old renamed enfold folder.

    I do not see any more errors (thank you).

    Not i just need some help to solve by I am unable to add photos to existing galleries.

    Hello Victoria –

    Thank you for your help. It turned out to be a conflict between the Enhanced Media Library plugin and WP 5.3 update. My research says this is a common problem with the new WP updated. I disabled that plugin and the problem is resolved.

    You can close the ticket.
