Hi there!
I am currently making a website for a venue. I am using enfold and I’m certainly loving it!For the home page I need to show some upcoming events, I chose the portfolio grid combined with portfolio items to make the pages for the “events”. Doing so will safe me a lot of time in the future. Because of this I have done alot of custom CSS and it’s almost exactly as our designer wants it. I say almost for there is one last thing.
Is it possible to get a ticket button in the bottom right corner of each portfolio grid item? I have reffered to an earlier request of you guys: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-grid-add-read-more-button/ . But sadly it seems like this code is outdated for me.
Cheers and thanks in advance!
November 23, 2019 at 3:08 pm #1159422Hey Esphalon,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Do you mean the list of events on the front page?
Best regards,

Sorry for the late response, Yes it is about the events on the front page. I will send you an image showing the design what I mean with the ticket link.
November 30, 2019 at 11:12 pm #1161506Hi,
I have added the button for you but also move this to the child theme so it can work for you properly and not loose it after updates.

I am not quite sure what I would need to move towards the child theme, I cannot find the newly written code for the button. Can you specify where you put it? I am currently looking in the template-builder – shortcode – portfolio.php. I thought it would’ve been around line 709 because of the previous threads of other users (which I linked here above).
Kind regards,

BasilisDecember 6, 2019 at 8:07 pm #1163447Hi Basils,
It is weird because i’ve made a shortcode in the Enfold Child theme as told like here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#add-elements-to-alb
But sadly I still can’t see a button at the events on the home page. Perhaps there is an error in the code? I do have to say that I tried to copy the code from https://kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-grid-add-read-more-button/ before contacting you guys few weeks ago. Perhaps the file didn’t save properly? I use FTP at the moment to update my files because of a wordpress error I can only fix after this website goes live (I know very anoying)
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
Jasper Boetekees
December 9, 2019 at 8:42 pm #1164175Hi,
Have u done an update? All the code is removed and I have tested this previously already that it is there.

BasilisDecember 10, 2019 at 12:07 am #1164245Hi There!
No I haven’t done an update, automatic updates is off aswell. When I read the post saying that you implemented the button, first thing I did is check the website, but couldn’t see the buttons then aswell.
Like I previously said, I can’t edit the theme files through the wordpress theme editor. This is because of an old php version my websitehost is running on, and the company doesn’t want to upgrade it yet (because of something then not working on the old website). Because of this I am forced to use ftp to connect with wordpress and edit the files there.
I will send you the ftp credentials in the private content box, but if you don’t want to do it with ftp you can always type the code here which I can change.
Thanks for all the effort up till now once again!
Kind regards,

December 18, 2019 at 3:48 am #1167078Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Did you add any excerpt or content to the portfolio items? The output including the new button will only display if the post contains an excerpt.

IsmaelDecember 18, 2019 at 11:38 am #1167224Hi there!
Yes I am using the excerpt + title to show the event name + event data in the portfolio grid.

December 21, 2019 at 3:29 am #1168369Hi,
Sorry for the delay. We tried to access the site using the login credentials above but it didn’t work; the account seems to be invalid. Please check the info carefully or post another login account so that we can check the dashboard. Also, make sure that the Appearance > Editor panel is accessible in case we need to edit the files.
The site is looking good by the way. :)
Best regards,
Ismael -
