Enfold 4.6.3, WP 5.2.4
Since this update, when I create a post with classic editor it displays in full on category page, as expected. If I use Visual Editor to create the post, all I get is a Read More button on the category page. How can I control this so to get the full post to display?
If this is due to a setting that I am just not seeing, please advise. Thanks.
Hey Rik,
When using the Layout Editor for posts then everything needs to be added manually, that includes the excerpt. If you can’t see the excerpt field then please select to show it under Screen Options in the top right hand corner of your screen.

RikardThanks, Rikard – I will experiment further, but it sounds as though you are saying only the post’s excerpt or read more button will be displayed on the category archive page, is that correct?
When using the visual editor, my hope is that my posts might look the same on both the single post page and the category archive page. Adding an excerpt will not help in this regard.
Currently, the only way I can get the category archive display to look like the single post page is to avoid using the visual editor, but then I lose the layout capabilities.

Sorry for the late reply, unfortunately, we don’t have a function or a easy way to have your archive page to look the same as your single posts stacked all on one page. But if you really want this you could hire a freelancer on upwork.com to rewrite your archive.php creating a loop from your single.php code. Here is a good article about this.
