    Hello,

In my main menu I have inserted a parent page, and below it, two child pages. On desktop, all menu items function as expected–if I click each menu item, the browser navigates to the page in-question. But on mobile, when I click the parent menu item, the browser does not navigate to that page. Instead, the two child pages are revealed in the menu (screenshots). Any ideas why that is occurring?

I should say that this is a child theme. If I switch to the parent theme, the behavior is actually as desired. Specifically, in the mobile menu, the parent page and the child pages are always visible. So if I click the parent menu item, the browser does indeed navigate to the desired page (screenshot). Any ideas how my child theme has overridden this behavior?

If you want to pass this up to higher level support, that would be OK with me. I have given you login access in the private content field.

I can also add that when my child theme is active, the menu element has an onclick event tied to a function in menu.js (screenshot). This function opens and closes the menu item, and hides/displays the child menu items. But when my parent theme is active, the menu element does *not* have that onclick event (screenshot). Why is that?

    Thanks.

    Hey FeedXL2019,
Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the well explanation and screenshots, the difference between the two menus is the setting at Enfold Theme Options > Main Menu > Burger/Mobile Menu > Menu Icon Submenu items which was set to Display submenu items on click but you wanted Always display submenu items

I have made this change for you, please clear your browser cache and check.
Now the reason it was different between your parent theme and child theme is that somewhere down the line the default setting was changed in the parent theme settings, probably an accident or the mouse scroll wheel was used while other changes were made and it was not noticed when the theme settings were saved.
Please note that the parent theme and child theme store their theme settings independently.

    Best regards,
    Mike

OK thanks very much for that. With those instructions, I was able to fix the issue. We can consider this resolved.
