Hi guys,
I was reading my way up and down the forum and can’t seem to find “the” solution.
On a customers page, I’d like to link a portfolio entry (top category) displayed in a portfolio grid to a relevant shop page:
https://website.com/portfolio-item/cat3/
to->
https://website.com/sortiment/itemXY/Now one suggestion I found was to use a custom permalink plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-permalinks/
In the edit mode of the portfolio item is an option that suggests: “Overwrite Portfolio Link setting” …
However this doesn’t deal with the permalink, or did I get anything wrong…?Could you please help?

Sorry for the late reply, the “Overwrite Portfolio Link setting” is a special feature of portfolio items and works just about any place the portfolio item is shown.
So in your case, you could link a portfolio item to a shop page and clicking it will open the shop page but it doesn’t change the permalink to the actual portfolio item.Best regards,

a very obvious and right solution!
For some reason it worked only after I recreated the portfolio grid – didn’t work with the already created one if this helps some future readers..But it works…Problem solved :-)
