    Hello
    I have inherited a site and think I need to upgrade enfold. It is not showing previews correctly, and when I try to update a page it added a bunch of <br /> elements and broke the layout. Some saves of pages are also not working.

    I’m concerned that the theme may have been customized, although the child theme is active so hopefully thats where the customizations happened.

    Any advice on the best way to upgrade so I can check and see if there are issues between the current site and the upgraded site? It is currently running on 4.4.1 and WordPress 5.1.

    Hey BurgersSmokehouse,

    If you are running a child theme then I would assume the updates were made there as you mentioned. With that being said, I would say the best course of action is to do a full back-up, and then run the upgrade. If it does not go as planned or fix your issues you can always revert to the back-up.
