Enfold 4.6 introduced the option to choose between the GDPR modal and the message bar. Now you can only have them both active at the same time. I would like to show ONLY the modal. I had that option before the last update …
Is that a problem with just my setup or has that option really been removed with Enfold 4.6.3.1?

JoOctober 7, 2019 at 4:45 am #1145606Hey Jo,
Thank you for the inquiry.
You can set the Enfold > Privacy & Cookies > Enable cookie consent messages settings to the third option (Enable but do not show a message bar). That should hide the consent bar, but still allow you to have a modal popup window.

IsmaelOctober 7, 2019 at 6:46 am #1145639Hi, I would love to, but I only have the following options for “Enable cookie consent messages”:
* Disable cookie consent messages
* Enable cookie consent messages
The HTML select statement has those two options and nothing else for me.

That’s odd. There should be 4 options under the “Enable cookie consent messages” settings. Please download the latest version of the theme from your Themeforest account and try to update the theme again manually via FTP.

IsmaelOctober 9, 2019 at 1:45 pm #1146516I have now done the following things …
* replaced all files as you suggested
* reset all Enfold theme settings from the config menu
* deleted and reinstalled the theme via WordPress
* used only the parent theme and not my child theme for each of the attempts
None of these made any difference. You are sure that there should be 4 options in 4.6.3.1, right? Because not even the HTML select statement shows more than two as opposed to an earlier version I had.
If your are 100% sure that a vanilla installation of the theme currently has 4 options then I probably messed something up (though I am not sure how).
Cheers,
Jo
PS: I have deactivated the account I gave you for now. I can reactivate it if you need it again.October 9, 2019 at 2:17 pm #1146520I know I should start my own thread for support, but I just wanted to confirm that I am having exactly the same issue, only two options: Enable/Disable. Latest available version of 4.6.3.1. I’ll observe this thread here now, thanks.
October 11, 2019 at 4:40 am #1146997Hi,
@Jo: Yes, you’re right. We just updated the theme to 4.6.3.1. The other options must have have been removed due to the recent GDPR policy update. You have to set the Enfold > Privacy & Cookies > Enable cookie consent messages to the second option, then set the Default Cookie Behaviour to the third option. Unfortunately, you won’t be able able to use the modal popup window without enabling the cookie consent message bar. It is possible with a few css modification, but we are not really sure how it would affect the privacy scripts. If you want to try it, add this code in the Quick CSS field to hide the consent bar..avia-cookie-consent.avia-cookiemessage-bottom { display: none; }
Best regards,
