I’ve added some icons via the Iconfont Manager — and used them extensively throughout a large site — and now I need to add a few more. When I try to upload the zip I downloaded from fontello, it seems to a) overwrite the previously uploaded batch of icons and b) the new ones don’t show. What’s the correct procedure for adding more fonts when you already have some added — how do you not lose what’s already there / in-use?

October 6, 2019 at 9:20 pm #1145539Hey sky19er,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

October 7, 2019 at 8:00 pm #1145891Hi,
I tried adding new icon set and it worked fine. Before downloading new icon set from fontello, please make sure to name it, such as “payment” – https://prnt.sc/pg3h0f
Best regards,
YigitOctober 7, 2019 at 10:54 pm #1145952Hmm, when I upload a fontello zip (I named it “cusotmers” in this case), it just seems to overwrite my previously uploaded set of custom icons (a set of nine numbers). My previous upload, labeled “Font: fontello”, flashes green for a second and then the numbers disappear from any element using those custom numbers — so it seems to be just overwriting that previous set (see thenhttps://screencast.com/t/NgcLvmGI) . I can see you were able to add your Payment set, but I can’t figure out what we’re doing differently — can you think of anything else I might be doing wrong?
October 10, 2019 at 1:57 am #1146705Hi,
Thank you for the update.
How are you naming the font sets? Did you follow Yigit’s suggestion above? Please delete the existing font sets in the media library, download the set again — make sure that the name of the set is different from the previous ones — then upload it to the iconfont manager.
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 10, 2019 at 6:13 am #1146740Ahhh, you have to enter the name in the field next to the download button on the fontello site — I was just naming the zip file as I was saving/downloading it to my hard drive. I get it now — thanks.
