Hello Team,
When clicking on ‘PORTFOLIO’ in the main menu, the displayed submenu under it lists all the defined items. However, in mobile devices only, it also displays the item ‘– PORTFOLIO‘ at the top of the list.
i.e. under the the top menu item ‘PORTFOLIO’, the first submenu item is ‘– PORTFOLIO‘.This does not happen on desktop browsing and does not happen on a “parent” site – see below.
Please advise how to remove the first submenu item ‘– PORTFOLIO‘
Thanks,

Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:
#av-burger-menu-ul .menu-item-520 { display:none; }
Best regards,

Implementing the code above removed ‘PORTFOLIO’ item altogether (together with all the items associated with it) from the main menu – only on mobile devices.
There has to be a reason that ‘– PORTFOLIO‘ submenu item is showing on the cloned site and not on the parent site (see below).
Please advise,
ofekwSeptember 25, 2019 at 2:22 pm #1141819Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Did you set the Enfold > Main Menu > Burger Menu > “Clone title menu items to submenu” to “Create a clone for the title menu item”? This should create a copy of the parent menu item inside the submenu container.

Yes, changing that option removed the copy of the parent menu item from the submenu container.
This however removed the option to select & view the ‘About’ page when using mobile devices (it is selectable on desktops)….
On that matter, the About submenu is showing horizontally on desktops hover: Why | Biography
How can that be set to show vertically please? Thanks,
ofekwSeptember 27, 2019 at 5:34 am #1142567Hi,
The “Clone title menu items to submenu” is not set to the “Create a clone for the title menu item”. You have to set it to that option if you want to hide the submenu and still have access to the parent menu item.
Thank you for the update.

IsmaelSeptember 27, 2019 at 6:14 am #1142576Thanks Ismael,
Setting the “Clone title menu items to submenu”to “Create a clone for the title menu item” allows access to the About page. However, in mobile devices it also displays the item ‘– PORTFOLIO‘ at top of the PORTFOLIO submenu. Is there a way to remove the – PORTFOILO submenu item?
On that note, the About submenu is showing horizontally on desktops hover: “| WHY | BIOGRAPHY |”
Can this submenu show vertically? Please check Parent site below to see the correct behavior: – PORTFOLIO is not duplicated and submenu under WILDLIFE is displayed vertically.

‘– PORTFOLIO‘ at top of the PORTFOLIO submenu. Is there a way to remove the – PORTFOILO submenu item?
That is what the option does. It creates a copy of the parent menu item inside the sub menu container. That’s the only way to have access to the parent menu item and still have the sub menu items hidden. If you want to remove the “clone” or the copy of the parent menu item, you have to set the menu to display all items including the sub menu.

The About submenu is showing horizontally on desktops hover: “| WHY | BIOGRAPHY |”
Can this submenu show vertically please? (same as the portfolio items showing when hovering above ‘PORTFOLIO’)Thanks,

You need to edit the menu and uncheck the checkbox “Starts a new column” and or the mega menu and it will show up vertically.
