    I have an Enfold Child Theme setup and in the Enfold Child Theme Options/ Theme Update it indicates an update is available. I have my Envato Private Token Activated so if I click update now will this update the Enfold Theme and not the Enfold Child Theme?

    Sorry if this is a silly question as the whole point of using a Child Theme suggests it will be the Enfold Theme that updates. I just want to make sure before I hit the button.

    Hey Andrew,

    That is correct, only the parent theme will be updated. The whole purpose of child theme is to override the parent and to be safe on updates, it is not automatically updated in other words.

    I have not yet imported the settings of your Parent theme to my Child theme. I guess I should do this before I do the update?

    Hi Andrew,

    You can import them later, but you need to export them before the update and would be better if you make a full backup too.
