Dear all,
I am currently using a Masonry Gallery for the images on our website. Due to SEO reasons (the Masonry Gallery does not support alt tags), I have to exchange the Masonry Gallery element for a standard Gallery element.
I am trying to affect the design of the image section on our website as little as possible. Therefore, I am about to customize the standard Gallery in such a way that it looks similar to the Masonry Gallery I used before.
Plase find the old Masonry Gallery (above, with all features I need) and the new customized standard Gallery (below) on my test page: https://www.dental.one/test
I have already come quite far, the features I did not manage to customize so far are:
1. show the image caption in the middle of the image on mouse hover
2. show a dark semi-transparent image overlay on mouse hover
3. zoom in effect without exceeding the borders of the image (zooom in effect is implemented, however, the borders currently are exceeded)Could you please help with the three features I listed above?
Thanks and best regards,
Hagen

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

Thanks a lot for your swift reply.
I understand. But require all of my three desired features heavy customization? Or can you help with at least one or two of them?
1. show the image caption in the middle of the image on mouse hover
would be most important for me.
I can also do without the other two…
Thanks again!
Best regards,
Hagen

Well, the caption is not even there in the html, so you need to change the template to have it there or take it from the alt attribute by JavaScript, but again this is not the kind of customization that we provide here.

Thanks again for your swift and kind response.
I now added a caption to every image. The captions are ahown on mouse hover in a little box above the image. Please see my test page: https://www.dental.one/test
Isn’t there a simple way to remove the box and place the text in the center of the image?
Thanks again for your help!
Best regards,
Hagen
