Hi there,
I’m not even sure if this is where to ask this question….I have a feeling it is some obvious answer, but my brain is confused!
I just purchased learndash and their documentation suggested to install it on a subdomain. So I created courses.communicatingwell.com. But now I feel unclear how to upload learndash to the subdomain. I also am unclear, can I access the wordpress dashboard from a subdomain in order to be able to see the learndash app and all its tools?Again, deep apologies if this is an obvious answer!!!
Thank you!!!

If you install it on a sub domain then you need a second WordPress installation there, or if you turn your current site into a multi-site and then add the new sub domain there.

I have three more questions if you don’t mind:
1) to have a second wordpress installation on the subdomain, does that mean having a second version of Enfold uploaded to the subdomain?
2) would I need to purchase as 2nd order of enfold?
3) is having a wordpress installation on the subdomain something I need to have my webhost do?My brain is working hard trying to figure all this out – – cearly a steep learning curve for me :)
Thank you very much!!!
July 22, 2019 at 3:51 am #1120736Hi,
1. Yes, it basically means that you create a new site, just like your current one.
2. No, one license is valid for one domain, including sub domains.
3. That might not be necessary, you could simply create a new folder in your hosting account using FTP. Then install WordPress and the theme in there. If you don’t know how to do that there are plenty of resources around on the web to give you instructions on how to do that. If you are still unsure then reaching out to your hosting provider might be a good idea.Best regards,

I was able to get WordPress loaded onto the subdomain, yay!One more question, does it make any sense to load a copy of my existing enfold website onto the subdomain in order to have the same design, or is it better to rebuild it from scratch?
Thank you again for your help and time!

I think that copying your site would be a good idea, or maybe you could simply import/export the theme settings in the theme options?

July 23, 2019 at 10:19 pm #1121271Actually…one more question….always one more question, lol
So I would start by uploading a copy of Enfold theme to my subdomain and then import the theme settings that I created on my Enfold wordpress main site.
Thank you!
