Hi, I’m trying to do two things, and I can’t seem to get them just right.
Hopefully you can help me with it.1) Position the Title and Excerpt on the top of the Masonry.
I’m using the code below to make the background black and transparant, and move the Title and Excerpt to the top.
A) The Title looks good, but I can’t get the Excerpt higher to make it look like in the attached image.
B) When scaling the page the Except moves high or lower, or disappears when there’s just three tiles visible. Testing on mobile the Excerpt sometimes get on top of the title. Is it possible to make it stick to the title and keep it there, even on mobile?/*---------------------------------------- // CSS - Masonry title Alignment //--------------------------------------*/ /* Title */ #top .av-masonry-entry-title { color: #FFF; /* Apply the !important rule if the titles color do not change*/ font-size: 26px; font-weight:500; text-align: left; position: absolute; top: 0; z-index: 1000; width: 90%; padding-top: 10%; } /* Masonry Content */ #top .av-masonry-entry.isotope-item .entry-content { color: #ff5200; font-size:16px; text-align: left; } /* Title Background */ #top .av-masonry-entry.isotope-item figcaption, #top .av-masonry-entry.isotope-item .avia-arrow { background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7); }
2) Give the border of the masonry tiles an orange color on mouseover (and click).
After browsing this forum I came up with the the following code, but that doesn’t seem to do anything.
Any idea on how to make it look like in the attached image?
figcaption.av-inner-masonry-content.site-border:hover { border-color: #00b1b0; }

Thank you for using Enfold.
1.) Looks like you’ve managed to adjust the position of the title and the excerpt.
2.) Use this css code to change the bottom border color to orange on hover.
#top .av-masonry-entry:hover .av-inner-masonry { border-bottom: 1px solid #ff5100; }

thanks for your reply. The border works now.
1) Question 1 is still open. I managed to get it partly working using the code I pasted in my request above, but it doesn’t work like it should on all different zoom levels, and the Excerpt is placed a bit too low.
Can you have a look at how to get it working right all the time, on desktop and mobile?Thank you, Haiko.

By zoom levels, you mean when you zoom in and out the browser?

The masonry goes from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1, an depending on the view the texts have a different position or are not visible.Best, Haiko.
July 18, 2019 at 7:55 pm #1119984Hi Haiko,
Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css, if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css
@media only screen and (max-width: 989px) and (min-width: 767px) { .responsive .av-masonry-entry .av-masonry-entry-title+.av-masonry-entry-content { display: block; } }
If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaJuly 23, 2019 at 11:35 pm #1121323Hi Victoria,
Thank you, the text is now visible in three column view.
The spacing between the two text is still not like the example though. Is it possible to get control over how much space there is between the texts?
I’ve added a view screenshots of how it looks now (in Safari). See my first post on how I would like it to look.Best, Haiko.
July 25, 2019 at 2:37 am #1121798Hi,
Thank you for the update.
By excerpt, you mean the text “full time”? I don’t really see the slight differences in its position as an issue but if you really want to adjust it, create multiple css media queries so that you can manually adjust its position on certain screen sizes.

Thank you. Isn’t there an easy way for a non-programmer to, maybe using quick css, to get control over the positioning of the title and the excepts (full-time) and get them a bit closer together?
Best regards, Haiko.
August 12, 2019 at 7:53 pm #1126950Hi,
Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)
Best regards,
