Hi,
I’ve got three problems with my client’s site
1. Most links in the Main Menu link to parts on the same page (apart from “Datenschutz” and “Impressum”).
My problem: the highlight on the start page ist always on “Kontakt”. If possible, the matching menu item should be highlighted or a least “Start”.2. “Leistungen” in the menu links to LEISTUNGSSPEKTRUM further down on the page, from there there’s a link to an additional page https://www.rothkranz.de/wp/unternehmen-online/ . It would be great if on this page “Leistungen” in the menu would be highlighted. I’ve experimented with page-item-id in the additional CSS, but it doesn’t work. There’s surely a way to achieve this but I’m no CSS wizard…
3. Is there a way to highlight the menu item “News” on all the News entries?
Thank you in advance and kind regards
Ilona

Sorry for the late reply,
#2: Please try this code in the General Styling > Quick CSS field or in the WordPress > Customize > Additional CSS field:#top.page-id-556 li#menu-item-587 a { color: #333333 !important; } #top.page-id-556 li#menu-item-587 .avia-menu-fx { background-color: #7a000a !important; opacity: 1 !important; visibility: visible !important; }#3: please try this css:
#top.single-post li#menu-item-235 a { color: #333333 !important; } #top.single-post li#menu-item-235 .avia-menu-fx { background-color: #7a000a !important; opacity: 1 !important; visibility: visible !important; }Since your menu is linking to ID’s on the same page I would recommend using the plugin Page scroll to id it will add classes to your menu to adjust highlighting and it will smooth scroll to the ID and adjust for height.
Best regards,
MikeJuly 7, 2019 at 6:49 pm #1116480Thanks a lot, Mike! Solutions #2 and #3 work fine. I’ll try Page scroll to id so I might come back with some questions.
Best regards
