Tagged: Theme update breaking site
Hi,
I tried to update Enfold 4.5.2 to the current 4.5.7 yesterday and my whole site went down. I have WordPress 5.2.2 and PHP 7.2.
Here’s the error I got:
Warning: require_once(config-layerslider/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/a2pewpnas01_data01/10/4059110/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 39
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘config-layerslider/config.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5_6/lib/php’) in /home/content/a2pewpnas01_data01/10/4059110/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 39
I had to have the host revert my website back to before the Enfold update. This is the second time my site has broken due to an Enfold update. Any way I can prevent this for the future, such as checking the forum or updating via FTP instead of through the theme update in the Admin console?
Thanks,
Christina
