    Hi,
I have been developing with Enfold for the past 6 years and absolutely love it! Some of my business classes are trying to convince me that Beaver Builder is best for WP development, which I don’t see any added benefit other than it’s strictly for non coders. I noticed on your forum that there are people trying to use BB, Divi, Elementor inside Enfold and I am wondering what the added benefit would be. Maybe it’s all visual, making it even easier to design?

My understanding is that the other page builders are recurring licenses (don’t like that) and they are more bloated, slow and less flexible when it comes to customizing. One complaint I’ve seen a few times is that Enfold slows down the speed of a site, but you guys helped that with the performance module.

Do you think there will be an option in the future for a developer license? Would it be possible for me to create additional templates that could be pulled into multiple installs? For example, I create my own “demo themes” for clients to pull from like a library, same thing with image repository. I am considering offering a specific target audience subscription service using Enfold in a multisite install rather than fix bid custom projects.

Thanks. I doubt I will be going to Beaver Builder.

    Hi Vickie,

    Thanks for using Enfold :-)

We don’t really recommend to use any third party layout builders with Enfold since it comes with its own. There’s no point to doing that like you say. Different layout builders have strengths and weaknesses and I guess it all boils down to what you like to use and what you are comfortable with. I have tried all the builders which you are referring to and I kind of like all of them in their own way.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by developer license? You can save templates already in the Enfold layout builder using the Templates button in the top right hand corner of the layout window. If you want to transfer those layouts between installations then you can use debug mode: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode.

I’m not sure if this answers your questions? Please let us know if you have any further questions for us :-)

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks for your confirmation and answers.
I was referring to a developer license like Genesis framework or Elegant Themes, where it’s a recurring license that developers use to make websites so the clients don’t have to buy a separate license.
Not a big deal. I prefer clients to have their own licenses, although a few don’t want to deal with it.

I absolutely LOVE the template feature. It’s genius.

    Hi Vickie,

Thanks for the update. We do have a developer license if you check here: https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990. It’s quite expensive though so I think the best option would be to simply purchase new licenses as you go. It’s also good to keep them separated in case you should need to cancel one, maybe if when you and one of your client part ways for instance.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    HI Rikard,
Yes, I see that! Thanks. It would take 47 installs to break even, so you might be right there. I have used Enfold about 20 times now. :) I have the clients buy their own license, which works better if they part ways.

    Thank you very much!
