Hi everyone,
I’m working with Enfold 4.5.7 (Child Theme) and can’t make YOAST work – the first tab on the post/page edit page is always empty.
I can only change META Descriptions and Titles using the bulk editor which is pretty tiresome.
I already tried deactivating every other plugin, but it still didn’t work. When I use the WP twenty-nineteen theme though, everything works…
Could you take a look at this please?
Thanks a lot!
SassenachJune 18, 2019 at 1:34 pm #1111293Hey Sassenach,
Thanks for the login details. What happens if you select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options?
Best regards,
RikardJune 18, 2019 at 2:36 pm #1111313Tried it – no change. :-(
BTW: I also noticed that the “Visual” View in the WP-WYSIWYG-Editor does not work until I have saved the post/page. If I try to change the view from “Text” to “Visual” nothing happens. After saving the post/page (by publishing it or by saving a draft) it works, but it doesn’t show images, only placeholders.
I don’t know if the two issues might be somehow related?June 20, 2019 at 6:19 am #1111809Hi,
Thanks for the update, the problem is that the elements in the “stop light” tab is not showing, correct? If so then I can’t reproduce the problem on my local installation so it’s likely something local to your site. Are we allowed to deactivate plugins for testing purposes?
Best regards,
RikardJune 21, 2019 at 12:12 am #1112142Yes, exactly, the “stop light” tab is empty.
You can deactivate anything you like, it’s a staging environment – no problem.
Thanks
KatjaJune 21, 2019 at 1:59 pm #1112332Hi Katja,
Thanks for that, I deactivated all plugins but it’s still not working unfortunately. Could you try to update WordPress to see if that makes any difference? I’m seeing lots of error messages when trying to edit a page but I’m not sure what is causing them unfortunately.
Best regards,
RikardJune 27, 2019 at 11:55 am #1113908Hello, I am having issues with the Meta tags/description on my website. In google search, the description is showing all jumbled up. It used to be fine earlier, but I have no clue what happened.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
PriyankaJune 28, 2019 at 11:55 am #1114225WordPress should have been up to date – it definitely is now.
June 28, 2019 at 11:57 am #1114226I don’t see error messages when editing a page, but I can’t see the WYSIWYG view before changing to text view and back…

BasilisJune 29, 2019 at 9:42 pm #1114522Hey guys
I think I have also discovered a compatibility issue with Yoast SEO and Enfold 4.5.7.
Blog posts from 2018 are all fine, but since March (when I wrote a new blog post) the text link counter for internal links is not working anymore.
Even though I have internal links to that post, it always displays 0 (zero) for incoming and outgoing links for blog posts from 2019.Could you please test that on your local installation to see if you can reproduce it?
(I am using WP 5.2.2, Enfold 4.5.7 and the newest version of Yoast SEO).Thanks a lot
MichaelJuly 2, 2019 at 4:00 am #1115008Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The internal links counter is working properly on our end. Have you tried disabling plugins and see if there is a conflict somewhere?

As you can see in the screenshot, there is one internal link in the “A Healthy Snack For Kids” post.

IsmaelJuly 2, 2019 at 8:21 am #1115073Hi Ismael
That’s weird, but thanks a lot for your reply.
I only have 5 other plugins in place. These are the same since a long time, so there should not be an issue with them I think. However, I will wait for the next update from Yoast. Maybe that solves this little issue.
Cheers and have a great day
MichaelJuly 4, 2019 at 2:12 pm #1115780Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Are you using the block editor? Please try to switch between the editors and see how it goes.
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 4, 2019 at 2:29 pm #1115784No – I am using ALB for all my pages and posts.

July 8, 2019 at 3:09 am #1116529Hi,
@michaelH: I was actually asking if the block editor is currently enabled. If that’s the case, please try to switch to the classic editor. The editor toggle is in the Enfold > Theme Options panel.

IsmaelJuly 8, 2019 at 7:39 am #1116577Hi Ismael
Thanks for the follow-up.
No, the option “Use WP classic editor” is active in my case.Cheers
MichaelJuly 9, 2019 at 3:41 am #1116858Hi,
I see. Can we access the site? Did you add any custom modifications, or enable any Yoast settings that might have affected it?
Please don’t hesitate to open a new thread if you can still see the issue after the plugin update.
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 9, 2019 at 7:23 am #1116933Hi Ismael
Well yes it is customized but nothing different than to some months ago when it worked perfectly.
Hard to judge what it could be, I know.I will just wait to see if the issue still exists after the next Yoast update or Enfold update.
If nobody else has that exact same problem (or has not discovered it yet) it might be my configuration/setup.Thanks
