Hello All,
I have initially successfully imported the enfold 2017 demo… however after removing my WP installing and re-installing it again (I’m on GoDaddy WordPress hosting) importing the demo always fails…. Is there a chance there is some sort of usage log at kriesi.at that is preventing me of reinstalling the demo (mistakenly assuming that I’m reusing the same purchase for instance?)
I have tried importing the demo from the theme control page, importing XML file and all is failing without a clear error message
Hey ghorab,
No there is no “usage log at kriesi.at” but if you are switching to “Godaddy WP managed hosting” their security settings could be blocking the import.
Please check your PHP settings to see if the secure options are activated.
“allow_url_fopen, “allow_url_include” and “register_globals” are “off”
Try turning these “on”.
Otherwise we will need to take a closer look, Please include an admin login in the Private Content area.
Best regards,
Mike
Thank you for your response and sorry for my late reply… The demo import worked after I connected to a different WI-FI from a different ISP! I totally don’t understand why since I assume installing the demo is a communication process between your and godaddy’s servers without my web browser/client/internet connectivity being invovled :)
However, it looks like something had to do with my local network and it worked like charm afterwords… thank you for the beautiful theme and quick support
Hi,
Glad to hear you got it sorted out. This sounds like a local network issue. We will close this now. Thank you for using Enfold.
For your information, you can take a look at Enfold documentation here
For any other questions or issues, feel free to start new threads in the Enfold forum and we will gladly try to help you :)
