    Hi Enfold,

I’m in the early stages of building a knowledge base website. I’ve utilised the Table of Contents widget as a site bar – I really like the function of this.
I have one problem though, if I link from another page to one of the headings, the link isn’t taking the header into account.
It’s fine on the actual page, but if I link from somewhere else to it, the heading is hidden by the page header.

Is there a workaround for this at all? Would really appreciate your input, as I hoped that this would be the solution for a big site with many pages.

Included the links in the private content box, but the site is very much under construction!

    Hey jonrouse,

    Thanks for the update.

We could not reproduce the issue on our end. We tried to go to a specific section in a page using an external link and it landed directly above the specified section. (see private field)

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
Sorry, I didn’t update the thread. I got back on the project this morning and found a plugin which would allow me to add anchors from the home page.
It seems to work well with the built in ones too, I just made sure I gave the new anchor similar, but different names.

FYI – it’s this plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-scroll-to-id/ just in case anyone has the same issue.

Thanks for getting back to me though.
