Hi, I re-validated my token and that worked fine, but when I try to do the update of Enfold 4.5.2 to 4.5.6, I’m getting an error.
Here is what I get:
Enabling Maintenance mode…Updating Theme Enfold (1/1)
Downloading update from https://marketplace-downloads.customer.envatousercontent.com/files/263702359/enfold.zip?response-content-disposition=attachment%3B+filename%3Dthemeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress-theme.zip&Expires=1556216306&Signature=PspBMrPSyGgXdoJH7JBVXDDKQHRKrov3~37NJcnZZADkfLbJduLNQyE00e801YAh2L8nmWxxReaUP44j4qwei79LEIR0mpzGB9RiJDtOJY4K2clAgJsFlHtHHmpmBUIuxfQ00~VR6L3n7MChl5-lPp3lpIcP6fp~4MkCUgtvbcWSmh~MutL2hvgwN1RJeeQC9AwPSURgylCHQc-5lzYlO6Lw5H359H3w8HoaJuix5ZwWvlRKOSLP9uscOCQE~m9uxlJgmq78mKCgcKZWdXCYj104BXSowOiPkh9TJUfhSjWajE4cqDYZu7bjsglLY280EWK~GNmdpA2lhr0qwXl7ptIheVYu08YOfo9Y3TSGCmAJ3J~v5DauHf1OeQV-ebCJ9sR0KWHA1S2xWkBbYfPsGnisUvVNCsBtP9IyBeXoeBxMirJxlTUZBjqG99N~iGywYo5ddDGWLmiLmQ5-N4k7aNjiEu-uUTevxqJQBB70YSfdqG7J1NBwpx5KOE8MAcnjexhlS9el5s10cdJ3XauX1E0eB-oO3XWc2QLBbu0HC229n~yHs2lD3JQVgH464pS1oe5fr0bxvmU0Q~rALHX6cnLkoDI3~pH6hEZ-cOnwfABB3C0Mc8U0RNHxtZjKt60PDrQYMu2jl9lWEazMlOthilMz2~aSTJSVV0HUnFMae40_&Key-Pair-Id=APKAJRP2AVKNFZOM4BLQ…

Any thoughts or others having this issue? I hate to have to go back to updating via FTP or zip file.
April 29, 2019 at 12:44 am #1095116Hey Christina,
Sorry for the late reply, this looks like an error we had with this version, it would “request” too many times so you couldn’t update.
Please include an admin login & FTP access in the Private Content area and we will assist update your theme.Best regards,
MikeApril 29, 2019 at 9:31 am #1095202Hi, Mike-
Well, I tried building the 4.5.6 via FTP and it completely broke the site. When I had tried to install via copying the enfold zip file, I got the following error message:
Request Entity Too Large
The requested resource
/wp-admin/update.php
does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
So instead I built it up via FTP. However, when I checked the site, it was a complete mess. Everything looked normal on the back end, so I ended up deleting the theme and installed version of 4.5.4 I had from another website (I have more than one license for Enfold. So, it is now back working and I’m reticent to try 4.5.6 again until I’m sure all the bugs are out of it.
ChristinaApril 30, 2019 at 2:07 am #1095550Hi,
It sounds like you tried to overwrite the theme directory with the new version, which will certainly crash the site.
Can you include admin login in the Private Content area, I don’t see your site linked above.Best regards,

August 14, 2019 at 7:29 am #1127503Hi,
@Alhaji2017
I believe from your post that you are trying to update from within the theme automatically, but v4.5.5 had an error in it and must be updated via ftp.
The easiest and safest way to do this is to download the newest version from Theme Forest and rename your current theme to “enfold-old” via ftp then upload the new “enfold” and check that your site is working correctly.
Once you are happy you can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.Best regards,
Mike -
