Hi
We updated the plugin The Events Calendar, which is also recommended by Enfold theme.
Since this update, all past events are shown, when we use the element “Kommende Ereignisse”.
But when we call the URL for all events, there are only the future events shown. So it looks like an Enfold problem.
Can you please fix this as soon as possible?
Thanks.
Best regards
MikeApril 22, 2019 at 10:01 am #1093283Hey Michael,
Thank you for using Enfold and reporting this.
I added this issue to our dev repo and will have a look into this asap and will come back when we have a solution.Best regards,
GünterApril 22, 2019 at 4:32 pm #1093363Hi,
I found the problem.
Please update enfold\config-templatebuilder\avia-shortcodes\events_countdown\events_countdown.php
with
If you need help please provide a WP admin account and our moderators can do it for you.
Do not forget to make a backup of the original file for a fallback and clear server and browser cache.
Should become part of the next update.

GünterApril 23, 2019 at 10:16 am #1093604HI Günter
We replaced the file events_upcoming.php and cleared the cache but there is still the same problem.
Can you please check it again? Perhaps you sent me a link to the wrong file?
Best Regards
MikeApril 23, 2019 at 1:44 pm #1093657Hi,
Thanks for the feedback.
I checked it with 4.9.0 of the plugin – and the link points to the updated file.
Can you please create a WP admin account so I can check your backend. And also enable that I can update the file.
Please provide a link to the backend and to the page that causes the problem.Best regards,
GünterApril 23, 2019 at 1:54 pm #1093662Hi Günter
Ok, I created a WP admin account and an FTP access (into the folder where the file should be replaced) for you, see private content.
There you also see links to the backend and to the pages that causes the problem.

MikeApril 23, 2019 at 5:27 pm #1093708Hi,
Thanks for the credentials.
The file …/events_upcoming.php has been updated correctly. It should reflect the changes in frontend.
I checked the second link you gave me – and I see the old events.
But there seems to be a cached version of this page. Because I tried to modify the output of the event title by adding a small part of text to it – and this does not show up when I reload the page (even with clearing my cache).
This means that the php code is not executed (and therefore not the modified query) but the page is rendered from a cache.
Can you check this with your hoster ?
Best regards,
GünterApril 23, 2019 at 6:40 pm #1093717Hi Günter
We are the hoster of this website ;-)
Should be another problem. Because it is not the first time we replace a file from Enfold with a fix. Last times it always worked fine.
I now deactiated the nginx cache of the website, but also then all old events are shown.
But what I saw is, that the website is using a modified events_upcoming.php file in the child theme. But also when I replace this, it does not work.
And it is for sure only this file we have to replace?
Perhaps we have to wait for the official update? What do you think, when this will come?
Thanks.
Best regards
MikeApril 24, 2019 at 9:18 am #1093894Hi again
Now it works.
When I delete the events_upcoming.php in the child theme and then upload the new events_upcoming.php there, it works.
The reason why we have to modify the events_upcoming.php is, that we use The Events Calendar Pro and have additional fields in an event.
So, if it is possible to extend Enfold in a later release for that we can show this infos without modifying the original file, this would be very great.
See example in the private content.

MikeApril 24, 2019 at 9:52 am #1093903Hi,
Glad it is working now.
What I can offer is to add a filter that allows you to replace the complete
<a href=...> ...... </a>
for each entry.
Best regards,
GünterApril 24, 2019 at 5:37 pm #1094090Hi Günter
Yes, perhaps this would be nice because then we do not need to overwrite the PHP file itself.

MikeApril 25, 2019 at 9:59 am #1094329Hi,
I added filter avf_single_event_upcoming_html.
is already updated with this filter. You can change the HTML for each event individually.
Hope it helps you.

Cool. Will this filter also be available in the next official version of Enfold?

MikeApril 25, 2019 at 1:47 pm #1094401Hi,
I added a pull to our repo. So it should become part of the core – hope Kriesi will merge it for the next update. Check the changelog or the file.

Thanks for the update. Could get access to backend – but updating the file failed. Might be because of access rights to files.
Can you give us ftp access?
Or shall we provide you a zip file to upload with ftp.
