Need headline rotator container width to equal max item length

I need two rotators on one line, interspersed with fixed text. For example:
Order an APPETIZER and an ENTREE for $10.99.
where APPETIZER and ENTREE each rotate through variable-length-character strings (say GREEN SALAD or GRILLED FLATBREAD).
I can get multiple rotators on one line by surrounding a series of av_headline_rotator shortcodes with a <div> that is set to display: flex.
However, the fixed text automatically adjusts its location with each rotation, What I need is the non-rotating text to stay put in the same position, in other words for the rotating text to have white space on the right and each item the width of the longest rotated phrase.
How can I accomplish this?
