Layer Slider WP navigation buttons will not change

I have tried several times to change the settings for the navigation buttons. This is the setting before I make the change:

I change it to the following to remove all controls, except on hoover (I suppose those with green color are active)

The changes get saved (I press the “Save changes” button and it says “Saved”, but when I reload the page, the settings are set back to the previous settings again. In my custom css, the one who made the page has added:

}
Does this do something, expect from adding an 30% black overlay to make the picture darker?
