Is there anything I can do/add in order to stop receiving spam emails through a contact form I’m using on my homepage at playhousenightclub.com ? I ready that enfold includes “Contact forms come with hidden spam protection and if thats not enough also a simple math CAPTCHA;” so how do I prevent the form I have on my homepage (directly below where it says “HAVE A PLAYHOUSE BIRTHDAY BLAST” located online at playhousenightclub.com) from receiving spam emails without having to add a new plugin like Contact Form 7 with Honeypot (which would require me to recreate all new forms)??? Please advise. I’m open to any and all suggestions whether free or paid service. Thank you, James Barren

    Hey jamesbarren,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

You can enable the Google ReCAPTCHA option in the Enfold > Google Services panel on version 4.5.5. All you need is a API key pair for v2 or v3, which can be generated from the recaptcha admin console.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

I’ve tried using Enfold’s Google ReCAPTCHA and it simply doesn’t work. It would be nice if Enfold would incorporate a Honeypot option into their contact form. Bots have advanced much quicker than the old Enfold anti-spam methods.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

There were a few users who confirmed that the security option stopped the spam emails sent from their contact forms. Could you give us a link to the contact page so that we can inspect it?

Anyway, the dev team is currently improving the reCAPTCHA option, but there’s no plan on including a honeypot option if I am not mistaken.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
