Hello,
I created a blog on my site, called “Happy Trails” using a page and ALB Blog Posts element. Up to this point its been configured to show a single category from custom taxonomy, Tribe Events. All is well and good. Now I want to start adding posts that I author. However, it seems that I can only use one taxonomy type in the element at one time — either wp blog post category or the TEC category — and I would like to include both.
My workaround is to stack two Blog Posts elements; one for blog posts and one for custom taxonomy (Tribe Events). Is there is a way to include Tribe Events with blog posts in the ALB element? I assigned a blog category to an Event but Events don’t show up; and I can’t see a way to assign an Event Category to a blog post.
The page is here: https://www.hikingwithdean.com/hiking-blog/
I changed the page layout to satisfy things such that I have one ALB element for wp blog posts and using shortcode in sidebar for Tribe Events.
But I am still curious about solution for the problem (if its easy)
Hi compudean,
Well, this might only work if both categories have the same parent category. Not sure that it will work 100%.
Best regards,
Victoria
