    Hi i just found out about the “new” table of content widget and i love it. it seems to work great, however, it really does not look good in the sidebar and there are 2 major problems with this. 1st it should be sticky. its quite plain stupid if a user scrolls down and cant see the table of content anymore, especially on long pages. is there any recommended solution to archive this? I dont want to install another plugin for a sticky widget or stuff. 2nd The table of content should be nested! I tryed the plugin https://codecanyon.net/item/fixed-toc-wordpress-plugin/7264676 but it did not work at all, however it looked a lot better with the nested function.

    I hope you can help me out here!
    Kind regards
    Patrick

    Regarding Question 1) one can use this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/ it works like a charm!
    Also there is a line on the left side, should it show the postion where you currently are with reading the article? would be a nice addition :)

    I’m also in the process of adding a TOC to a larger page and I’d love to see some more flexibility on this option. Are you planning to extend the functionality of it in the near future? I also tried an external plugin which unfortunately didn’t work with the ALB. Right now I use the solution mentioned here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/table-of-contents-widget-how-to-show-it-on-top-of-the-content-of-a-post-or-page/ but having some problems with its using the shortcode in a left column, it will always stay on top of the page. Sorry, don’t want to interrupt, just would love to see some progress here, Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    @j0schi
    : I couldn’t find the TOC element anywhere in that page. Did you remove it?

    @cherrmann
    : Do you have a page where we can see the custom TOC widget? You can set an element to stick on scroll, but that would require modifications much like the example in the following thread.

    Thanks I don’t need help, I just wanted to point out it would be great if this feature could be improved.

    Hi,

    Alright. That is possible in the future, but it’s not a priority for now. The dev team is adding a lot of improvements in other areas of the theme while fixing existing bugs, so they won’t be able to tackle that right away. Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
