Hello,
My site was initially built years ago, but I do some tweaking now and again with price, photos, etc (front-end stuff). With some of the WP updates, now my dashboard is acting wonky and when I save changes they are not reflecting on my live site. After doing some research, it appears my Enfold version has compatibility issues with the WP update – but I have no idea how to fix this. Can I get some advice on how to make my changes live again, everything compatible, and also to reinstate the advanced layout builder?
Thanks!

I see that you are using WordPress v5.0.3 which has major changes in it, please update to Enfold v4.5.3 as it is designed to work with this version of WordPress.
You will have to manually update Enfold, but you can follow these steps to easily do so.Best regards,

Thank you for the reply. I am still having issues, please advise.
-I successfully downloaded the updated Enfold .Zip file (themeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress-theme.zip)
-I successfully installed and activated “Update Theme and Plugins from Zip File” plug in
-After I choose the .zip file under ‘Upload Theme’ it will begin to installing, but fail. The failure messages I receive are:
-Inactivity Timeout Description: Too much time has passed without sending any data for document
-Warning … failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ….wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 29
-Fatal error … on line 29I can send screenshots if necessary.
What do I do?
Thank you kindly!

I suspect that your PHP max upload is less that 20mb, or your PHP time limit is too short.
Please go to WordPress > Dashboard > LayerSlider > Options and click “System Status” and look under “Server Settings” and take a screenshot like this:
One other thing, when you downloaded the theme file, was it from the “Installable WordPress file only” link?
Best regards,
