Hi,
I have a couple of issues.
1) I’ve been trying to update the Enfold theme, but it says that it’s unable to do so because of a url/link. And I’m not sure how I’d eliminate the cause.
2) The LayerSlider is not working. We literally purchased the theme last week. I’ve looked at all my plugins, and I’ve tried everything. I’m currently using the EasySlider instead for now. So it’s not displayed on the website itself. But if you could help me out, I’d greatly appreciate it! (>.<)January 18, 2019 at 1:05 am #1055285Hey aalia,
I took a look at your site and I see that you are using Enfold v4.2.3 with WordPress v5.0.3
Your version of Enfold used the Envato API to update, but Envato has changed to a “Token” to update so you will need to update manually this time and then going forward you can update from within the theme.
Updating manually is quite easy, please see these steps
If updating your site doesn’t correct the layerslider issue, I would be happy to take a look, Please include a admin login in the Private Content area below.
If you prefer to have some assist with updating, then also include FTP access in the Private Content area.Best regards,

Please open a new thread so we can assist, and include your admin login in the Private Content area, but as this is not your thread your login info will not be private if posted here.Best regards,

Thank you for that. But unfortunately that did not work. It kept saying that the link had expired. :( Do you think you could take a look for me? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,

January 19, 2019 at 12:26 am #1055722Hi,
@aalia: Thanks for the admin login, I took a closer look and found that you have a few server setting that need to be addressed:
So first, you can’t update with the plugin above because your “PHP Post Max Size” is too small and WordPress can’t open zip files because the “PHP ZipArchive Extension” is not enabled.
Then the layerslider could not be working because “PHP Multibyte String Extension” & “PHP Multibyte Regex Functions” are disabled.
layerslider says this about thouse two:The lack of PHP “mbstring” extension can lead to unexpected issues. Contact your server hosting provider and ask them to install/enable this extension.
The lack of PHP “mbregex” module can lead to unexpected issues. Contact your server hosting provider and ask them to install/enable this module. You can see this report at: WordPress > Dashboard > LayerSlider > Options and click “System Status” and look under “Server Settings”
Please ask your webhost to change:
PHP Post Max Size to 20mb
and enable:
PHP ZipArchive Extension
PHP Multibyte String Extension
PHP Multibyte Regex Functions
After they do this you should be able to follow these instructions to update,
but if you include your FTP login in the Private Content area, I would be happy to update for you.Best regards,
Mike -
