I created some pages and I am editing them to have the content I need.
I go back to a page, add some blocks and the wp:shortcode is not updating, so I can’t see anything.
Avia Editor has everything as needed and it is saving there, but seeing the wp:shortcode, all the new things are missing there.
Why ?
Is there a force refresh or something so the code is added?
Thanks.

January 13, 2019 at 12:25 am #1053255Hey peterolle,
Sorry, I’m not sure I follow, are you editing a Advanced Layout Builder page with the WP Block editor?
Or are you using the magic wand tool to create the shortcode, and trying to reopen and edit it?
Please explain a little moreBest regards,
MikeJanuary 13, 2019 at 12:56 pm #1053353I create a page using Advanced Layout Builder and published it. A wp:shortcode is generated in the normal editor.
I go back to edit the page, add more things in Advanced Layout Builder and click update and the page is not updating. Seeing the wp:shortcode that is generated, is is not generating the new things I added, it is exactly the same as when I created the page the first time.
If I go again to edit, Advanced Layout Builder has everything I added, but the shortcake not.
That is the problem, the page is not updating.
Thank you.
January 13, 2019 at 10:11 pm #1053416Hi,
I see you are using the ALB to build the page and then opening it with the default/classic editor.
Typically doing this will brake the ALB code, we do not recommend this.
If you want the shortcode please try Enabling the Avia Layout Builder DebuggerBest regards,
MikeJanuary 13, 2019 at 10:17 pm #1053420I am not opening the classic editor.
In the page I have the classic editor at the top and then ALB below it. At the same time.
Thanks.
January 13, 2019 at 11:15 pm #1053439Hi,
Sorry, I can’t envision how to have the ALB & classic editor open in the same window at the same time, perhaps I could assist better if you make a screencast of what you are doing and the error.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 14, 2019 at 9:56 am #1053589This is what I see every time I edit something.
And as you can see, adding content is not updating the wp:shortcode, that’s the problem. The page is not updating.
Thank you.
January 14, 2019 at 12:52 pm #1053649Hi,
Thank you for the video, it makes much more sense now, the two editors are not suppose to show at the same time, this is a error and explains why your page is not updating.
Please ensure that your using at least Enfold v4.5.2 and your PHP version is at least v5.6,
If these are true, then perhaps a plugin is causing the error, please try disabling all of them to see if that helps.
If you are still seeing this, please include a admin login in the private content area so we can be of more assistance.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 14, 2019 at 1:01 pm #1053652I have this locally until I am able to replicate the site, then I will upload everything and test. Hopefully when live the problems goes away.
Thank you.
January 14, 2019 at 1:58 pm #1053675Hi,
Ok, once you have published your site with the current Enfold version, please let us know if you are still seeing this so we can assist.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 14, 2019 at 6:32 pm #1053761I confirm this happens in live site with no plugins active.
Site is live, be “really, really” careful. If you try something, do it in a new page, not in the published ones. Just create a new page and you will see the problem.
Thank you.
January 15, 2019 at 3:57 am #1053938Hi,
Thanks for the login, I see your Enfold is up to date but your “WP Bakery” plugin is also loading in the ALB builder, I believe that this may be the issue, please try disabling your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 15, 2019 at 9:21 am #1054010I already did and the problem persists. What to do ?
You can try yourself disabling “WP Bakery”(activate it again) and see the result. In my local test I tried with no plugins active and nothing.
Thank you.
January 15, 2019 at 3:43 pm #1054152I also confirm this is happening in other of my sites. Both have PHP Version ea-php72.
What to do?
Thanks.
January 16, 2019 at 12:30 am #1054415Hi,
I found that disabling WP Bakery, Speedboost, and using the Classic Editor resulted in no errors. The classic editor was enabled from the theme setting “Select Your Editor”. I was getting errors with the Block Editor and the Yoast plugin, which has many reports lately 1, 2, 3
But there is a chance that one or more of your plugins is giving an error with PHP v7.2, so it would be worth a try to use v7.0.
I recommend disabling your plugins, then reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 16, 2019 at 4:00 pm #1054578“using the Classic Editor resulted in no errors”
That was the problem, not the plugins. All plugins active and no errors changing to Classic Editor. So its something not compatible with the theme.
Thank you.
January 16, 2019 at 4:13 pm #1054584When editing a page using the admin bar while seeing the page I see (Edit Page (Block Editor)) in the Admin Bar.
If it is now using classic and the pages using ALB, why I have that ?
it is like saving 3 version of the page depending the editor, even if disabled, please see this topic as well, for sure it is related: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/videos-not-showing-in-some-pages/
Thank you.

January 17, 2019 at 7:33 am #1054878Hi,
The message in the Admin bar is saying which editor was used last on the post or page, once you use a different editor it will change. This has been common for people that upgraded and opened their page with the block editor in error.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 18, 2019 at 10:30 am #1055385Ok, thank you.
