    Hi guys,

on my website are several single pages which have to load a big number of images in the main content section. Despite optimizing the image size and using lazy load the reserved space for the images stays white for about one second. I decided to use the enfold preload function and show a preload image in the meantime.

I only want the preload function to be applied to the main content section, but it is automatically applied to the header, the sidebar and the footer. Going to another page on the website the header, the sidebar and the footer are reloaded each time and disappear in the meantime.

How can I apply the enfold preload function only on the main content section, so that the header, the sidebar and the footer are constantly displayed while going to another page on the website? Or how can I exclude the header, the sidebar and the footer from the enfold preload function?

    Best regards
    Michael

    Hey elskeletto1,

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

    Best regards,

    Ok, I see.
I would rather wait for that bug to be fixed within the next enfold updates. I hope you see the potential for improvement. I can’t imagine anyone who wants to have reloaded the static sections of the website while going to another page. It is disturbing for the viewer’s eye when the static sections disappear every time.

    Hi Michael,

I think I understand what you are asking for, but that is not the way web pages are rendered unfortunately. When you go to a new page, everything is loaded again from the “top” so to say. It’s not really a bug so it’s not something which will be come fixed.

    Best regards,
