Hi,
I”m trying to create full-width images with captions within posts. I know how to do this using sliders and color sections, as suggested in other threads, but I want the images to have captions just like the other images in the posts, i.e. captions below the image. Thanks guys!

There is no element which will do that by default, but maybe you could try using separate Color Sections for the image and caption?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 9, 2018 at 4:26 pm #1031710There are several problems with this solution.
1. All of my images need alt tags for SEO. My understanding is that there is no way to add alt tags to background images.
2. I want to use the default editor to create the pages so that once I turn the site over to my client it is easy for them to add posts without manually adding title, category, author, etc.
3. I want the post to have the same container width for the text areas as the default blog post layouts that come with Enfold (modern, business, etc). ALB makes the container too wide.
4. Also please note I don’t want all of the images to go full-width, just some.
Could I create a class for the images I want to go full width? I looks like lots and lots of Enfold clients are looking for an easy way to do this.
5. I also want the feature image to ALWAYS be full width. Is that possible? Thanks for your patience!

November 17, 2018 at 3:24 pm #1034735Hi,
1. Yes you cant add alt to background images ( generaly on html not on our theme ). For adding alt to all images you can use a plugin to search / scan all images and apply that as a fix.
2. You can do that – but you have to use our basic single template design. If that will not work for you, then you can go ahead and customize the single.php file.
3. As you will be using single.php, you do not need the ALB so that problem will not exist I suppose.
4. Yes you can do that. But if the container of the post is specific to 980px for example, then those images will have to be both full width but also have a different z-index so they can be applied.
5. Yes it is possible with some CSS.Best regards,
