    Dear Kriesi-Team
    For over 4 years now we have the Enfold-Theme installed – and we are very happy with it. Over the last weeks though, performance of the theme has dropped dramatically – and the response time is peaking. After consulting our hosting provider, all indicators point to the theme being the troublemaker here.
    Can you please take a look (see link below) and let us know, what you think?

    It goes without saying, that the WP installation, all plugins and the theme are up to date.

    Your site is not loading at all on my end:

    Not Found
    The requested URL / was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I have the same problem, site not existing but shows up in the serp after the update 4.5; hot to solve?

    Hi Rikard, thank to seekvisa we solved it.

    For other reader, the function “error 404 page” in the Enfold 4.5’s theme option don’t allow google bots to index the entire site. For me just unpinning it made the site indexable again.

    For moderator: with that function active google at the same time show You the result but think that it doesn’t exist (see the links in private). Just unpinning it and the problem is solved.

    Hi Rikard
    Thank you for getting back. We had a technical issue that made the site unaccessible.
    With regards to the loading time – we have cleaned up a significant number of wp_postmeta entries in the DB. This helped. But I still think the site is much slower in loading than before.

    Are we the only ones experiencing this behavior lately?

    Hi cfxsoftware,

    Thanks for the update. Your site is not really quick, there is room for improvements for sure. You can see a full run down of what is being loaded and for how long in the test in private. The first thing I would look at would be to try to reduce the weight of the images you are using.
