Widget Behavior

I have configured several widget areas for use in sidebars. Call them Sidebar A, Sidebar B, etc
There is also the usual default sidebars
It appears that even if i set a page to show sidebar A, it will always and also show default sidebar widgets, and always these are above sidebar A widgets.

With so many options in this theme, it’s strange to have this rigidity

So i have a simple question
Can this be configured to show sidebar A Only? or Sidebar A above default sidebars?

this seems like a simple setting that would go well in the layout controls of a page so that you could
1) Choose a custom sidebar
then
2) choose if it appears first or last
then
3) chose if Default sidebar should also appear

That would accomplish the ‘show default sidebar yes/no’, and it would serve to accomplish ordering of sidebars as well, provided there were only ever 2 sidebars to chose between and order.
