Hi,
I am using an Easy Slider to show YouTube videos which are muted, loop and autoplay. I had also selected to have the controls hidden which also hid the title of the video. Now suddenly today, the titles are now showing. They also show every time the video loops which happens on some videos very often as they are only 4s long. This really doesn’t look good at all.I am sure YouTube suddenly changed something on their side because everything was working fine yesterday and I haven’t run any updates or anything.
Please could you kindly assist :)
Thank you.
October 18, 2018 at 9:35 am #1023226yes something changed also on my website – and by the way does your youtube video works on fullscreen? because mine is not working and I am waiting for help from the support…
October 18, 2018 at 9:53 am #1023235Hey studiono,
Are you referring to if Fullscreen Slider Youtube videos work? If so, then yes – mine do work but when I pause the video on those I now see a related videos section (also now showing on my Easy Slider YouTube videos) at the bottom which, I also found out, can’t be clicked on.
I have just found that self-hosted videos remove all these problems. Might also be more future-proof in case YouTube decide to update things again in the future.
Thanks.
October 18, 2018 at 9:58 am #1023238yes I had a problem with the fullscreen but I solved it by myself.
I too see the related videos and the title at the top. I can not use a self-hosted video – let’s hope the guys of support find a way to help us removing these disturbing stuff youtube is adding.

VictoriaOctober 18, 2018 at 5:03 pm #1023467hi, I think you sent the message without writing it :D
October 18, 2018 at 5:07 pm #1023474Hi Victoria,
That is actually my page hahahaha (studiono was just commenting on my post). I had to sort it out quickly for a client. So I self hosted them.
I have added a link below of a duplicate page where you can see the issue.
Sorry about that.Thanks.
October 18, 2018 at 6:08 pm #1023535Hey studiono,
It was actually meant for me but addressed to you.
The info was all in the private data area so you wouldn’t have seen it hahaha.October 18, 2018 at 8:00 pm #1023605Hi cordellbrewer,
Wow, so confusing. Well, the youtube videos look glitchy, your solution looks nice though. I think you should keep it at that.
Best regards,
VictoriaOctober 18, 2018 at 8:44 pm #1023631Hi Victoria,
I would really rather not keep it like this with self-hosted videos as the bandwidth on the server is very limited.
I would just like it how it was before with no titles etc. using the YouTube videos.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this would also be affecting many other Enfold users.
Thanks.

VictoriaOctober 20, 2018 at 1:13 pm #1024341Hi Victoria,
I have tried both solutions and they don’t don’t seem to work.
I can see that they are not really addressing what my issue is.
My issue is not really the related videos stuff. It is mainly the flashing of the video title when the video starts and when it loops again. My videos are on autoplay and loop and are only 4s long so it happens every 4s and is very annoying. It’s just frustrating as it was working perfectly and then suddenly the next day it’s all messed up.
Any further help would be greatly appreciated. Or has YouTube just updated it’s API and it’s actually no longer possible to do anything about it if you want to use YouTube?
October 23, 2018 at 2:17 pm #1025415Any luck with this?
October 25, 2018 at 8:44 am #1026223Hi,
It seems to be displaying paid content or ads. I’m not really sure if this is going to work but you can try this css code.
.av_youtube_frame .html5-video-player * { display: none !important; } .av_youtube_frame .html5-video-player .html5-video-container, .html5-video-player .html5-video-container video { display: block !important; }
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 25, 2018 at 10:41 am #1026274on pause the video there are other films as link. On former times we could get rid of that by adding the ecver=2
but today that does not work anymore. Fu… google advertisingOctober 25, 2018 at 11:13 am #1026291i guess those videos you upload yourself to youtube – you have the opportunity to get rid of those ads
but on public videos there is now no chance to get rid of i guess –
as i said above on former times this “secret” attriubt does the trick like&rel=0 the &ecver=2
solves that problemboth options seems to be erased the rel too
- Sign in to YouTube.
- In the top right, click your account icon > Creator Studio.
- On the left, select Video Manager.
- Select the video(s) where you want to turn ads off. You can select all your videos by clicking the checkbox at the top of the screen next to “Actions.”
- Click Actions > More actions > Monetization.
- Select Off.
- Click Submit.
October 25, 2018 at 8:17 pm #1026518Hey Ismael,
Yeah no luck with that CSS.
I see that YouTube have updated their API so I don’t actually think it’s possible to hide the title etc. anymore.
I mostly want to hide the title. Hiding the related videos would be great too.
We are just going to self host those particular videos. Seems to be the only way around it.Thanks for your help :)
October 26, 2018 at 5:27 am #1026625Hi,
@guenni007: Yeah… Foo g ad! ;D
@cordellbrewer: Where did you read about the API update? Can you give us a link?
Yes, you may need to use self hosted videos for now.Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 26, 2018 at 10:25 am #1026686Hey Ismael,
Here: https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters
It is related the iFrame Play API:
“Revision history –
August 23, 2018
Note: This is a deprecation announcement for the showinfo parameter. In addition, the behavior for the rel parameter is changing. Titles, channel information, and related videos are an important part of YouTube’s core user experience, and these changes help to make the YouTube viewing experience consistent across different platforms.
The behavior for the rel parameter is changing on or after September 25, 2018. The effect of the change is that you will not be able to disable related videos. However, you will have the option of specifying that the related videos shown in the player should be from the same channel as the video that was just played.
To be more specific:
Prior to the change, if the parameter’s value is set to 0, then the player does not show related videos.
After the change, if the rel parameter is set to 0, the player will show related videos that are from the same channel as the video that was just played.
The showinfo parameter, which indicates whether the player should display information like the video title and uploader before the video starts playing, is also being deprecated. Following the change, the channel avatar and video title will always display before playback begins, when playback is paused, and when playback ends. The avatar being displayed is new behavior that will be consistent across all embedded players.
These changes will become effective on or after September 25, 2018. After that time, the showinfo parameter will be ignored. The behavior following the changes is consistent with the current default behavior for embedded players with the exception of the channel avatar changes mentioned above.”I think it’s cos they have deprecated/changed parameters.
October 26, 2018 at 12:52 pm #1026776if the copyright question was clarified, then you could download the video and upload it to Youtube yourself. If you have your own videos, you can choose not to show them.
October 26, 2018 at 3:12 pm #1026832Hi,
Thanks for the info. That explains the title overlay and related videos. I’m not sure if we can do anything about that. You may have to use self hosted videos now.
Have you tried @Guenni007’s suggestion?
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 30, 2018 at 9:39 am #1027912allthough the rel parameter is still listed, but it seem not to work anymore.
