    I recently ran a google search on my site through various search keywords/criteria and frustratingly the top hits are pages that were part of the demo import, not my actual site. So i’ve removed those pages which is fine but one particular page has turned up which is not a ‘page’ that I can find within my dashboard ‘page’ options. It’s the Tag/landscape page which I’ve included in the private section because I don’t google picking it up again through this forum.

    I’ve changed my 404 page redirect to the home page but the url still stays the same. Other than requesting that google remove the link from their search results, can anybody tell me how I’m supposed to remove this mystery link from my site please?

    and now this one but it won’t let me edit the page to remove it via yoast

    Hi,

    The portfolio categories still exist in your installation. You should remove them manually. After the removal, you should ask google to re-crawl the site and then monitor the results using the url inspection tool or the search console’s index coverage status report.

    This process may take weeks or months, so you need to be very patient.
