    Hi,

I set up a team member page on my site recently (details enclosed). The page was working fine, when suddenly, out of the blue, all the team member elements broke.
I temporarily fixed the problem by changing the page template to ‘Archive’ from ‘Default’. This is of course, not ideal because it now has a tabbed section at the bottom that I do not want there.

I’ve also enclosed a link to a copy of the same page, with the default template so you can see the problem the way it is.

I deactivated all plugins to see if that would affect the page, but nothing helped. Curiously, the URLs for the images seem to also be broken, where they should be “mywebsite.com/subfolder/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Imagename.jpg” it seems to be showing “http://mywebsite.com/pagetitle/%E2%80%99http:/mywebsite.com/subfolder/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Imagename.jpg%E2%80%99”.

I’m not sure where this extra URL is appearing from.

I’d be grateful if you could help me rectify this.

    Thank you,

    A

    Hey qfactor,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Done.

    Hi,

Thanks for the login details. It looks like the layout is breaking because of the special characters you are using in the More information link, the Layout Builder is unfortunately a bit sensitive to that. I edited the first one and it seems to be working fine now. Could you try to use this instead for the special character?

Please remove the spaces between the characters before saving.

    Best regards,

Thank you, that seems to have fixed it. Once I replaced the special character, it seems to have returned to normal. Strange that it seemed to accept it in Archive mode.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,

Yes that is a bit strange, but in general the Layout Builder doesn’t like characters which are used in code.

Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
