Hi,
I’d like to display Custom Post Types through the ‘Advanced Layout Builder’ on Posts and Pages.
It would be great if you could add a ‘Content Element’ called “Custom Post Types” (or similar) which allows the display of any Post Type registered in WordPress. My preference and suggestion would be to add an option to the theme settings where Custom Post Types can be (de)selected which the theme should ‘recognize’ in the Avia Advanced Layout Builder.
Currently there is a multitude of posts in the Forum about this, and none of them really work, I tried so many times. Also, some things that worked in older versions of Enfold seem to have broken in newer versions, all the more reason why such an important option should ideally be maintained by the theme author.
Custom Post Types are quite crucial these days. I have no exact figures on how many sites use CPTs but given the multitude of plugins which create CPTs who have hundred thousands of totaled downloads, I suspect it is very substantial.
And from a competitive standpoint, many Builders for WordPress have this functionality already built in, (or available via a professionally maintained plugin).
Note:
To avoid confusion, what I’m NOT looking for is information on how to enable the Avia Layout Builder for a Custom Post Type. I got that to work correctly, although I should add it would be good to also add this to the theme settings page as an option to avoid breaking the solution on updates of the theme.
Hey coer,
Unfortunately that is not something that can be done so easy – you would need to have some custom elements coded to enable that functionality.
Best regards,
Basilis
