Hi,
I wanted to dynamically display upcoming events on my Home page of the Enfold default theme using an Event List widget.
The Events Calendar on its own does not display upcoming events nicely (I like the date in a box/calendar view) and I like how it is displayed using Events Lists. However, when both plugins are active all my events disappear from Event List and I also lose my Events from ‘Events Calendar’ and do not see them on the homepage the countdown also disappears.
Is this a known issue, how can it be resolved?
September 13, 2018 at 5:23 pm #1009534Hey HannahWright,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

Do you have an update at the begging of the week, I sent you a private message with access details.

September 22, 2018 at 4:11 am #1012972Hi Hannah,
Thanks for the update, I can’t see any login details in the thread though. Could you try to send them again please? Note that you need to write something in the normal messages box as well when you are sending details in private.
Best regards,

Both plugins seem to be incompatible with each other – the Event list plugin causes a php error on the admin page of the calendar plugin. You can try to use the default list event widget instead: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-list-widget/Best regards,
PeterSeptember 24, 2018 at 8:59 pm #1013848Thanks Peter,
However the reason for my original post was to seek a resolution to the issue. I would like to use Event Listing because of the way the widget is displayed, I do not want to use the EventsCalendar plugin for this purpose.

September 25, 2018 at 8:55 am #1014044Hi,
I could not find any obvious reason why both plugins don’t play nice together. This issue is beyond the scope of our support forum because it has nothing to do with our theme. If you switch to the default wordpress theme both plugins still won’t work together. If you want support for the plugins please talk to the plugin authors.
Best regards,
Peter -
