    Hi,

    Over past couple of weeks when editing pages using the Avia Layout Builder, it has been incredibly sluggish to the point where it is almost unworkable, taking over 30 seconds to load content. I have taken the usual steps of clearing cache, trying both IE and Chrome, but to no avail. I have also disabled all plugins, which only marginally improved load time, so i don’t believe this is the issue. I am running the latest version of WordPress 4.9.8 and Enfold 4.4.1 running a child theme.

    I have researched this issue in the support forums but all fixes suggested have not worked for me. Please could this be looked into?

    Hey edgecareers,

    Thanks for the login details. I get the feeling that the backend of your site is very slow in general, please try installing these plugins to see what is consuming resources on the backend:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/p3-profiler/

    Hi Rikard

    Thanks for getting back to me. I have removed any unused plugins which has sped up the layout builder massively when opening headings and text blocks, it now only taking 2-3 seconds for these to load, but for some reason, icons take 30 seconds plus to load. Is there any reason this might be happening?

    Hi,

    The browser console didn’t give me any javascript errors. Please ask the server administrator/host if the php error log contains errors. I suspect this might be a file reading issue because the font elements use the icon font files to generate the icon selector.
