    Hi.

    I have two questions.

First I have created a child theme and have included the functions.php and style.css but no matter what I do, it doesn’t appear to be reading from either file. If I put custom css in Appearance / Customize / Additional CSS it works, but not in my child style sheet. In addition, functions I add do not seem to be read. At some point I must admit they did work but not quite sure when it stopped. As I have activated the child theme, is there any way to check that the functions.php and style.css files within this child theme are firing? If you put CSS in the Appearance / Customize / Additional CSS does that mean it won’t read the child style.css file? For example I needed to set a margin for the logo to correctly show on portrait mobiles so needed to add that to CSS.

Second, I am using a parallax background on a few coloured sections on my homepage. I notice the parallax affect does not work on the mobile version. Is this a setting I need to select to activate? It seems to just show a static image on a mobile device.

    Thank You

    Cheers..

    Hi Jill,

Thanks for the login details, it looks like you have active caching on the site. Could you make sure that is turned off until you are finished making changes to your site?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

Where do you see that? I don’t have a caching plugin installed and the Bluehost Endurance Caching level is set to 0 which from what I understand means no caching.

Happy to turn off if you can tell me where.

    Cheers..

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

The theme’s Performance > File Compression options were enabled. We disabled it temporarily. Please try to add the css modifications again.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

Can you explain how to enable the parallax effect on mobiles? I see it working find on the computer but on the mobile it is just showing a zoomed in static image for the section.

    Thank you
    Jill

    Hi Jill,

Parallax does not work on mobile. The image can be adjusted to be not so zoomed in.

Which section are you referring to?

    Victoria

    Hi

I have two sections, one titled Our Services and the second called Real Estate. Are you able to give me the media query I need to modify the image via css?

Is the parallax limitation due to your editor as I have other themes that this effect does work on mobiles?

I also found that every post pop up plugin I tried cannot show any images due to your editor. The developer of the plugin confirmed it was a programming limitation with your editor. Do you know of any pop up plugin that will display a post in a small window versus having to open a new page? This is the plugin I was trying to use with your theme. It does work with Visual Composer.

    Hi,

The image used in the parallax section is quite small (see private field). Please select the full size so it’s not blurry. It actually resizes properly on mobile view and you should not expect the whole image to be visible inside the container because it has to retain the aspect ratio. You can disable the background on mobile view or hide the whole color section and then add another using an image that is specifically resized for mobile view.

Unfortunately, we don’t provide support for third party plugins as stated on our support policy. Did the plugin author provide more info regarding the issue?

    Best regards,
    Ismael
