    Is there any way to diagnose what is causing this issue? I rendered a new clip for YouTube at 720p vs 1080p just in case the issue is caused from buffering.

    The client is seeing a green screen as video plays in header on safari. No other reports from any other devices.

    Please advise.

    Hi lfultz,

    It is black on my end in Safari for a sec until the video starts, not green.

    Could you please clear the cache, check again and get back to us.

    There is no caching plugin or server caching on this project. Please watch video as it cycles through. To see if you see it. I’m wondering if it has something to do with YouTube as it buffers for resolution. Thank you.

    I did change the videos resolution from 1080p to 720 P in case the buffering was the issue. I’ll check with client as well. May have stopped the problem, but worth investigating on your end.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback, though I can’t reproduce the problem you are getting on my end either. I get the same results as Victoria on Safari 11.1.2 on OSX. Maybe the resolution change worked?

    1. Client reports green screen went away. I had a 1080p clip loaded on YouTube. I rendered a clip at 720p formatted specifically for YouTube on Adobe Premiere. I believe there is a glitch when YouTube attempts to buffer image to highest resolution. Only happened on Safari. Saw it on two different mac books.

    2. Apparently the theme is calling on YouTube and slowing performance. Any recommendations to solve these problems or should we move the video in header to the server on AWS?

    Hi lfultz,

    There will still be an additional request for the video, not matter to where either Youtube, AWS or your server. Maybe a CDN or a good caching solution can help.
