    I’m having trouble with the google API and Enfold. I create a API and it works than a couple of days later it doesn’t work. I check my API’s and it is gone as well in my dashboard. Right now If I generate an API and save it in the Enfold setting I get an error. Please Advise

    Nope, on my end I see “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly.” on top of the map. See screenshot. I get this is every browser.

    Hi,

    I tested your website and the map works for me too ( I’m based in Austria, Europe – see private content ). I’d recommend to check your google api settings – maybe you blocked some IP addresses from the api (restriction settings) and thus the map doesn’t load properly for you.

    Best regards,
    Dude

    There are no restrictions on the API and I didn’t purposefully block anything… I keep on creating new google APIs and adding them but nothing seems to work. Anyone in the US on the Enfold team to help troubleshoot?

    I’m having same problem.
    I tryed to use the same api key, in the same site, in a test-page in html and it works.

    Hi,

    @asapevictions
    : Can we have access to the site? The map is displaying properly when I checked. Did you set up a billing account yet?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    What do you mean – Did I setup a billing account yet?

    #1003893

    Hi,

    You have to setup a billing account in order to access the Google APIs including map API. Have you done that?

    // https://console.cloud.google.com/billing

    More info here: https://developers.google.com/maps/billing/understanding-cost-of-use

    Best regards,

    I have setup a google account. Seeing I only have one account it falls under the Free account due to the credit. Seeing I was having issue I set up a completely new one and the map worked for a few days. But than today when I checked I saw the same error. I attached a screenshot of what I see. As you can see things are setup but not working on my end. I’m located in the USA.

    Hi,

    There’s a warning or notification under the project name on one of the screenshots. Please read that info and then do the suggested fix. (see private field)

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    The warning just says it is unrestricted – it does not give any suggestions. See Screenshot 1. When I click on it I have the following settings – See second screenshot. The past 2 days things worked fine but as of today they don’t. Again I see this error on the front end.

    On the backend though n the enfold setting it says things are connected fine… Whats going on?

    Hi,

    In the console, it says that you’ve reached your request quota for that particular API. Did you impose a request limit? Are you using it on other projects? Please try to add https restrictions to the API.

    // You have exceeded your request quota for this API. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages?utm_source=maps_js&utm_medium=degraded&utm_campaign=billing#api-key-and-billing-errors

    The request is missing an API key.
    Billing has not been enabled on your account.
    The provided billing method is invalid (for example an expired credit card).
    A self-imposed daily limit has been exceeded.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    I did not impose a request limit nor do I know how to do that. No this api and email account is used for only this product. Sometimes it works and sometime is doesn’t – for example right now the map is working (See Screenshot). I’m not getting lots of hits on my site so I don’t know why my daily limit would be reached – what is that daily limit?

    See private for a screenshot of my dashboard. It looks like 21 requests have gone through – 13 were errors.

    How do I add a https restriction? I think I already tried that but it didn’t work..

    I see this: See screenshot 2

    After doing some digging I found this ” For Google Places API it’s 2500 requests per day and 10 requests per second. If you want to use more than that, I would suggest to enable billing. If you still want to use the free quota, please wait for a day to get those 2500 requests again.” It says if you go over 2500 that you have to enable billing.

    According to my dashboard I have 21 requests…

    Hi,

    Under certain circumstances, a darkened map, or ‘negative’ Street View image, watermarked with the text “for development purposes only”, may be displayed. This behavior typically indicates issues with either an API key or billing. In order to use Google Maps Platform products, billing must be enabled on your account, and all requests must include a valid API key.

    Did you setup a billing account yet? That should fix the issue.

    Reminder: To use our Maps, Routes, and Places APIs:
    All Google Maps Platform API requests must include an API key; we no longer support keyless access.
    You’ll need to enable billing on each of your projects.
    See Guide for Existing Users for more information.

    // https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages?utm_source=maps_js&utm_medium=degraded&utm_campaign=billing#api-key-and-billing-errors

    You can add a billing account here:

    // https://console.cloud.google.com/projectselector/billing/enable

    Best regards,
    Ismael
