Hi Kriesi-Team.
Since the last WordPress update I got a problem with the layout builder or in general with editing sites.
Please see the login credentials in the private field. If I open an existing page, product etc. in the backend, the layout builder is loading extremly slow, but is loading the content in the editing/text field.
After clicking in these existing (text-)module, there is no content shown and I even can´t change between the text- and the visual mode – the whole module is just blank an no text cursor is shown in it.
As mentioned, the problem started with the last WP update to version 4.9.8.
Is this problem based on the upcoming change to the Gutenberg editor?
For now, I either didn´t change to the beta-Gutenberg, nor I installed the classic editor plugin as served on the dashboard screen after loggin in.Thanks for your help and have a great weekend!
Greetings

Thanks for the login details, though I’m not sure how to reproduce the problem you are getting. I opened your home page and test page on the backend and both are loading almost instantly on my end. There seems to be no problem editing the text blocks on the front page either. Could you link to a page where you know this problem is happening please?
Best regards,

Sorry for the very late reply.
For example please try to open the used text-module on the page “Datenschutzerklärung”.
In there I can´t see any text (equal in “text” or in “visual” mode) – but when you try to mark the text in the textfield, you can see, that there is content – but shown in white textcolor and not editable, because no cursor is shown when clicking in there. Thanks for your held and greeting

Thanks for the update, though I’m having no problem editing the long text block on that page either. Could you try a different browser or an incognito window using Chrome to see if that works better please?
Best regards,

Meanwhile two months later…sorry for the late reply. :-)
You´re definately right – when using Chrome instead of Firefox all is editable.
So, this thread can be closed & and I´ll try to figure out, why Firefox is not working for me anymore.
Thanks a lot and greetings
