I have been using the Angular WordPress theme on my website for almost a year now and it’s been amazing. Just recently I noticed that the Youtube videos have stopped showing on the mobile view when an iPhone or any other iOS device loads the website. Up until now, everything worked and showed just fine. I’m running the latest version of WordPress and tried disabling plugins that would possibly effect this.
Further, I loaded the website on an Android and the videos did show just fine. I’m having trouble pinpointing the problem, either the embed code isn’t being shown or executed on iOS devices. It could be a problem on Youtube’s end, but I’m honestly not sure. Whenever I use the embed code, I use the old embed code that Youtube gives and it has worked just fine, up until now. Everything has worked fine up until now and I didn’t modify any code, etc. I run a plugin that assists with excerpts, however, disabling that didn’t solve the problem.
So could someone with a bit more knowledge shed light on this please? Thanks!
Note: videos show and display prefecture fine on desktops/computers.February 13, 2014 at 6:24 am #223237

Awesome, thanks very much! I should also add that I switched the the default WordPress theme for a minute to see what would happen and the videos did load/display. So maybe I left something out in the code by accident when I lasted edited it (whenever that was). Again, thanks for your time and support.

You are using an older version of the theme (1.2), please try updating the theme to the latest version 1.7 and check if that helps.
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

Where can I find the updated theme? I purchased it via Themeforest. Thanks!February 14, 2014 at 12:48 am #223713
Hi again Yigit,
Disregard that above comment, I found out how to re-download it from Themeforest. I watched the video and it mentioned replacing specific files if you have done any modifications to the theme. If I am upgrading from a much older release to the latest, do I only need to replace the files listed or all the files listed between the old version and the new one? Thanks!February 14, 2014 at 12:55 am #223715
