    Hi Kriesi team,

    I have purchased the plugin WPML several months ago and I am very happy with its performance. But I have a huge problem with pretty-urls …

    I have looked for different solutions on a lot of Forums but I haven’t got anything. I have changed Settings->PermanLinks URL base and neither. I have tested several plugins and they are not working. I want an URL like that: http://www.mywebsite.com/main-product-category/sub-product-category in these languages: Spanish (without /es/ directory) and English (with /en/ directory). Is it possible?

    But it is not what I mean, I need MAIN-CAT+ SUB-CAT in the same URL removing the base (i.e. PRODUCTS or ITEMS in your example) for spanish and English. Thanks!

    Hi!

    I am not sure if I really get what you mean. Do you want no “es” in your link for spanish version? but you want “en” to be included in your english version? I think that’s only possible if you choose spanish as your default language in WPML.

    Hey!

    Unfortunately this is not possible afaik. The base (products, portfolio-itenms, etc.) is required to determine the post type and wordpress can’t parse the pretty url without that base slug.
