    While attempting to add or edit an image gallery to a page of content we noticed that the galleries are not “taking instructions”. They only appear as small thumbnail sizes even when selecting “medium” or “large”, is there a way to fix this?

    Our media settings are Thumbnail Size: 80px x 80px (w/ crop on)
    Medium: 300px x 300px
    Large: 1024px x 1024px

    Hey sbxstrategies,

    Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

    Best regards,

    Thank you, please see below:

    We created a test page and also added this code in the Quick CSS field:

    #top .gallery .gallery-item {
        margin: 1px 1px 0 0;
        width: 33%;
        height: 33%;
        padding: 0;

    Use images with the same size and proportion as much as possible.

    Thank you Ismael. Is there a reason why wp-gallery item resizing isn’t working the way it should (telling the default wp gallery to display large vs medium vs thumbnail)? We’d like to try to troubleshoot the problem rather than cover it up with CSS. To ask our client to resize all images before uploading isn’t the most intuitive.

    The theme override the default gallery styling. Look for this code in the css > base.css file:

    #top .gallery .gallery-item {
        margin: 1px 1px 0 0;
        width: 80px;
        height: 80px;
        padding: 0;

    Remove it. If you want a consistent gallery columns, you need to resize the images before uploading.

    You should probably check our latest theme, Enfold. It is much more easier and flexible to use because of the advance layout builder.

    I have exactly this problem, but the other way around. the gallery is not taking instrucions to, but the other way: i want a gallery with small thumbnails, 120×120 and then open up on click with lightbox. but it s not giving me the thumbnails, just middle sized pictures not even in sqares.
    On the page its also not taking the margin-bottom of the special heading H5…

    please help!

    the whole thing started after the update…

    the problem with the special headings i had before, we fixed it with css but now its not working anymore. before i used this:

    /*Abstand special headings nach unten*/
    .av-special-heading {
    	padding-bottom: 20px !important; }

    @lucie: Thank you for using the theme but this thread is not about Enfold. Please create a new thread with the login details then we’ll check the issue there. A screenshot of the issue will help.

    Best regards,
